Apostles are called to impart or share with us the tremendous volume of grace that God has entrusted them.
And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all (Acts 4:33 NKJV).

§  ‘Grace’ is the ability that God gives us to do what ordinarily could not be done.
If indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you (Ephesians 3:2 NKJV).
§  ‘Dispensation of the grace of God’, means the giving out of the grace of God.
For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established (Romans 1:11 NKJV).
§  Apostles impart or transfer spiritual gifts that are needed for a local church to become established.

1. Partaking of apostolic anointing
The anointing is transferable from one person to another.
§  Christ transferred a measure of His anointing to the original apostles as He sent them out to minister (see Luke 9:1-2).
§  God placed on every Christian a measure of Christ’s anointing for us to do the works of ministry (see Ephesians 4:7, 12).

Recognizing and receiving apostles allows you to share in their anointing.
He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward (Matthew 10:41 NKJV).
§  ‘He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet’, means cooperating with a prophet on the ground of respecting his calling. ‘Receiving a prophet’s reward’ means the partaking of the grace given to the prophet for fulfilling his prophetic calling. Working with a prophet of God taps on the anointing that he carries.
§  Likewise, recognizing and cooperating with apostles tap on their anointing for ministering at the spiritual frontier.
§  God sent an angel to Cornelius to instruct him to contact the apostle Peter, who in turn would give him the gospel. The two practices that opened the way for Cornelius to connect with the apostle were prayer and giving (see Acts 10:4). A church should pray to God to give them a ‘Cornelius connection’ to share in an apostle’s anointing through praying for him and giving to his ministry.

Long-term partnership with apostles allows you to inherit their anointing.
Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace (Philippians 1:7 KJV).
§  Christians at Philippi became ‘partakers’ of Paul’s ministry-grace. Partakers are inheritors.
For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now. … Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only. For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities (Philippians 1:5; 4:15-16 NKJV).
§  The Philippians inherited Paul’s anointing through faithful partnership since the very beginning.

Coming under an apostolic leadership has free flow of the anointing.
§  Joshua inherited Moses’ anointing and ministry. Elisha carried double portion of Elijah’s anointing and ministry. Timothy carried on Paul’s apostolic network.
§  There will be very strong and consistent flow of apostolic grace through his or her preaching, teaching, prophesying, and overall ministry. You will have strong grace for overcoming obstacles and enduring oppositions.
§  A church that has an apostle as the senior pastor or vision carrier will become an apostolic center. Members will become an apostolic people of boldness and courage (see Acts 4:31). With a strong apostolic anointing on them, they will see breakthroughs that were not possible before and do things that previously could not be done.

2. Benefits of partaking apostolic anointing
No gift is lacking in churches partaking of an apostolic anointing.
I can never stop thanking God for all the generous gifts he has given you, now that you belong to Christ Jesus. He has enriched your church with the gifts of eloquence and every kind of knowledge. This shows that what I told you about Christ is true. Now you have every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 1:4-7 NLT).
§  In their close association with Paul, the church at Corinth has been ‘enriched with the gifts of eloquence and every kind of knowledge’. They ‘have every spiritual gift they needed’.
§  An apostolic people have all the gifts and abilities that they need for doing great exploits in many areas. They will also have singers, musicians, finances, helps, property, ministries, and everything necessary to get the job done.
§  Churches working with the apostles can minister with large number of healing, miracles (see Acts 2:43; 5:12-16), and distinguished revelations (see Ephesians 3:3-9; 1 Corinthians 4:1).

Financial blessing comes on the churches partaking of an apostolic anointing.
§  ‘Grace’ (Gk. charis) also means divine influence upon the heart. One result of the ‘great grace’ in Acts 4:33-34 was their sacrificial giving.
And now, brothers and sisters, we want you to know about the grace God gave the churches in Macedonia. They have been tested by great troubles, and they are very poor. But they gave much because of their great joy (2 Corinthians 8:1-2 NCV).
§  Paul identified the sacrificial giving of the churches in Macedonia with the grace that God had given them. Grace has the nature to give. The apostolic anointing releases a divine grace upon the hearts which will manifest itself in generous and sacrificial giving.

Numerical increase comes on churches partaking of an apostolic anointing.
§  Apostolic anointing also releases God’s grace for churches to draw incredibly large number of people (see Acts 2:41, 47; 4:4; 5:14; 6:7).

3. Becoming an apostolic sending base
A church that comes under an apostolic influence constantly will have the ability to raise and release strong apostles to take the world for Christ.
When he came and had seen the grace of God, he was glad, and encouraged them all that with purpose of heart they should continue with the Lord (Acts 11:23 NKJV).
§  The church in Antioch that came under the influence of the apostolic church at Jerusalem was filled with grace just like the Jerusalem church was full of great grace.
§  It became a center where fivefold ministers were trained. Barnabas gave Paul one year of on-the-job training in teaching ministry (see Acts 11:26). There were some teachers and prophets in the Antioch church (see Acts 13:1). Both Barnabas and Paul were confirmed, anointed, and commissioned by the fivefold ministers in Antioch to establish their apostolic calling (see Acts 13:2-4). They returned to this sending base after their journeys and were refreshed (see Acts 14:12-13; 15:35; 18:22-23).

The churches Paul founded in Macedonia had great grace in giving sacrificially.
§  They gave generously despite of their poverty due to severe persecution (see 2 Corinthians 8:1-7; 9:13).
§  Apostolic churches manifest the grace of collecting and releasing large amounts of finances into places where there is the greatest need. Apostolic churches are apostolic distribution centers.
